Welcome and Thanks for clicking on over to learn a little bit about me!
My Passion Began..
as a fun and “easy A” course in high-school that turned quickly into my everything. There’s something magical about a black and white darkroom – The red light, the smell of chemicals, the wet glossy portraits hanging to dry, and then that moment of seeing your image come to life as it appears in the developer! It’s incredible (ya know…before digital times). It was this experience that caused me to dive head first into photography and took my passion to the next level where I studied Creative Photography at Humber College and graduated with most outstanding student in 2001.
1 Super supportive husband, 2 Kids, 3 dogs and many years later I am the owner of Blue Rooster Studio and it’s right where I want to be! The darkroom may not be the same but the magic of capturing that perfect moment will never change.
I love all types of photography but focus mainly on Family, Maternity and Newborn Portraiture. I draw inspiration from all the small and extraordinary things that surround me, my family, my friends and my new addiction to pinterest.
Nothing Excites me More…
than a collection of stunning portraits that focus on the most important person in your lives. Beautiful collections to grace your walls, and timeless heirlooms for your family; which you will cherish forever. My studio is located in my home, because I am also a mom. Working out of my home studio allows me to be home for my children, and also allows us to focus on your session and not on closing up shop for the day. As a mother of 2 and over 8 years of newborn and family portraiture, I am not only incredibly patient, I am quite comfortable with all babies and children of all ages. Anyone who has been through a newborn session with me will tell you that “I am the baby whisperer!”
Yep…I am the Ceaser Millan but for babies! Now, that doesn’t mean your baby won’t cry…they will. He will cry, spit up, fuss, tinkle and yes – even s#!^ all over my studio. These things don’t bother me one bit, and my main goal is to provide a soothing environment that you can relax and feel at home in.
Why Hire a Pro?
Newborn photography requires technique, creativity and training. A qualified photographer possesses all these skills and the experience to use them to the best effect, as well as the patience and care necessary to capture these essential moments. You will have the assurance of safe poses, good lighting, high quality equipment, skillful camera work, and professional post processing.
Whether our journey begins when you are engaged or find out your expecting I can tell you that it will be the first of many captured memories we will share for a lifetime.
Trayc has been National Accredited by the Professional Photographer of Canada in both Maternity and Newborn Photography
Why Blue Rooster?
Everyone asks how I came up with name Blue Rooster … Well, while on a cottage weekend I strolled into the local curio shop to see what handmade gems were to be found. As I looked around my eye caught these adorable hand sewn farm animals. They were handcrafted farm animals made from stitched patterned fabric. Orange pig, purple horse, pink chicken….and a blue rooster..NOPE! There was no rooster and when I said out-loud; “only thing missing is a blue rooster!”. I laughed and followed up with “OMG…that would make an awesome company name!”. That evening I registered the name but it took almost 3 years to finally make the change from my previous company name – Photos by Trayc.
